ISSED (Institute for Statistics and Socio-Ecological Development) is a research institute, study center, and data science consultant. Our journey began in 2019 as an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary community of academics, researchers, trainers, policy analysts, strategists, consultants, and volunteers based in Aceh. By the end of 2023, we had grown to become one of the first civic-tech social enterprises in the region that employs a quantitative social science approach.
We focus on the development of our society by bringing together experts in statistics and data science, economics, health, psychology, public policy, regional planning, sociology, environment, and ecology.
We believe in the power of statistics and data science for social good, aiming to create positive change through human development, ecological sustainability, and social well-being.
